16/05/2011 - The Official unveiling of the new Terminal at Birmingham Airport which was organised by the Sector Marketing Event team took place on Friday. The event was very successful with the attendance of 300 guests including the Secretary of State for Transport, Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, who officially opened the new terminal.

Sector Marketing has been the appointed FDI marketing and lead generation consultants for Invest in Spain in the UK from 2008. We were appointed to deliver a lead generation sales and marketing program focused on a number of priority sectors, to engage with and identify UK companies interested in investing in Spain, including identifying and advising on marketing opportunities for the promotion of Spain as an investment location. We work across six priority sectors including ICT, Aerospace, Renewable Energy, Biotechnology and Environmental Technology, and have generated a pipeline of over 800 companies which are currently being managed within our CRM database for Spain. We have profiled thousands of companies in Spain’s priority target sectors, and using this information actively contacted a targeted list of over 2,500 companies.

As part of our marketing program for Spain we have conducted numerous awareness and relationship building programs for Spain, including partnering and holding joint events with key intermediaries across a variety of sectors and UK regions. For example, we partnered with South West RDA on behalf of Invest in Spain, organising a highly-targeted Renewable Energy industry seminar briefing as a joint event between South West RDA and Invest in Spain. Sector Marketing was responsible for all aspects of the event including partner development, strategy and event management including audience recruitment, venue sourcing, supplier liaison, AV and budget management. The event was attended by eight carefully selected key companies and generated four firm inward investment projects for Spain.

We have also conducted a number of targeted inward investment lead generation and meetings program campaigns for Invest in Spain in the Renewable Energy sector, identifying leads and setting meetings programs for a representative at Renewable Energy shows in Europe including All Energy, Intersolar, Husum and Windpower since 2008.
