Maintenance Connection Maintenance Connection was already a well established software company in both America and Australia. They saw a potential strong market in the UK and Europe and the Australian branch was given the task of looking for a strong sales team in the UK.
The brief was to create a strong sales pipeline in a number of industries and a requirement for an incoming phone line. The ability for a sales person to book and attend appointments with or without Steve was also key. With Sectors experience in the software industry, project management and ability to launch new products in the UK, MC gave the go-ahead for sales work to begin. Sector built a database of leads in industries identified as key users of CMMS software. We also helped push through the creation of the MCUK website and brochure design. Through the strategy of calling and e-mailing we were able to identify and talk to key decision makers. Training and use of the system helped our sales team to be comfortable to demonstrate the system.
Since April we have built a strong pipeline of well known companies such as BT, Hilton, Southern Electricity, Ardo UK, BG Group and GE Energy who are interested in the software. We have had 3 visits from Steve in which over 15 meetings have been attended. We signed off the first implementation in November 2009 bringing the first contract in 4 months ahead of schedule. MC are now looking to grow on this success in the UK and Europe and see Sector as a big part of this.We are able to offer support to any MC technical staff looking to come over to the UK and can research and organise good marketing routes such as advertising and exhibitions. MC and Sector can look forward to a good partnership together for the foreseeable future.
