Background The state of Sonora in Mexico engaged Sector’s services the week before their visit to two Aerospace trade shows in London and Paris to help them identify and coordinate further meetings in the UK in the week following the shows and to generate a pipeline of new leads from Aerospace companies seriously considering their state for manufacturing possibilities. There was no existing pipeline of leads or contacts and it was an extremely short time-frame to set a successful meetings programme.
Delivery Sector Marketing has a strong in-house lead generation capability and we were able to assign immediate and substantial resource to the project on sign-off.
With a comprehensive and quality list of targets in place, we produced a bespoke eDM to send directly to the key decision makers. The eDM highlighted the key region messages, drawing attention to the advantages Sonora holds for the aerospace industry. We followed up eDMs with direct telephone calls to the key decision makers. Our wealth of sector-specific knowledge combined with our additional investment in ensuring our understanding the Sonora product offering meant we were able to offer a compelling case for the region. In addition to setting a high number of meetings, we also provided the state of Sonora with a database of over 500 key aerospace contacts in the UK to use on a long-term campaign to raise the profile of the Sonora region in the UK. Sector also provided experienced, in-house sales representatives to accompany the Sonora representative to the meetings. This ensured Sonora had on hand, in-market support and resulted in a smooth handover and introduction at meetings.
Sector managed every step of the meetings programme process, not just by setting up the meetings, but managing the logistics of the meetings programme itself, including hotel booking, transport & diary management.
Success With only one weeks’ notice and with no existing leads, Sector provided a full meetings programme with five quality appointments. All five of these appointments were with key decision makers from leading aerospace suppliers. Two companies made a commitment to visit the region, one arranging a visit for the following month. |
