Sector Marketing was appointed the UK and Ireland Representative Agent for Deutsche Messe in 2005. Deutsche Messe are the world’s largest trade show organisers and the contract requires us to represent and promote all flagship tradeshows taking place in Germany as well as the rest of the world. There are currently over 15 flagship shows in various industries to manage and promote within the UK and Ireland.
The Brief · Organise and project manage a marketing strategy to target and secure exhibitors and visitors for each show including building and managing up to date databases of potential targets · To manage PR within the UK and Ireland including staging a yearly press conference · The creation and execution of all publicity campaigns including electronic and direct mail, advertising, audience recruitment, lead identification and decision maker contact
The Delivery
Each year Sector Marketing create a marketing and sales strategy as well a timeline and budget for each show. Our strategy is individualised to each show but typically uses the following steps :
· Data is acquired from a variety of sources including online databases, trade association contacts, participants at similar events covering the same subject matter, industry publications etc · Key targets for each sub sector of the shows are identified including decision makers in private companies as well as key influencers and opinion formers within the industry · Targets are sent electronic targeted communications and then contacted via the telephone to assess interest and future potential and all targets entered in to our in-house CRM programme · Key trade associations and industry bodies are identified and relationships cultivated leading to exposure within relevant communications sent directly to our target audience by the relevant trade organisations · Repetition of all activity to ensure a steady flow of leads into our pipeline and a steady increase of companies committing to participate at the shows · Ongoing communication to those companies already committed to the show to ensure relationships cultivated with end users also · Review of relevant media contacts and media plans produced with each key contact to ensure the supply of relevant and timely information regarding the shows · Staging of a press conference for journalists and open to industry bodies with an opportunity to liaise directly with senior staff from Deutsche Messe and learn potential topics and news from the forthcoming show |
